Goal:
Power ultimately rests with the people. However, in Cameroon we have had a system of elitist power for decades.
Our vision is therefore to redefine the conception and exercise of power in Cameroon. This entails creating systems and mechanisms that favor and impose checks and balances, participatory management of public affairs and establishing other centers of power that are directly wielded by citizens, to ensure that power ultimately rest with the people regardless of who is in elected office.
This also involves creating a new culture of the exercise of power at all levels in Cameroon – a culture in which power is wielded in consultation with the people, in which people involvement and participation is compulsory and where public managers are accountable and answerable to the people.
